My journey to 100 followers

Last week I got the dreaded message from Medium announcing that I would be removed from the partnership program if I would not reach the 100 follower target by March. It shook me. How would I ever make it to 100 in such a short time?
I really enjoy writing, but I am still trying to find my groove in it. It’s difficult to consistently make the time, and most of my work is quite niche. I highly doubted that there were 100 people out there who would want to read my work. So what now?
So in my stress-mode, I started Googling. It reassured me a little bit that there were many articles out there addressing the topic. Reading about it is one thing, though, doing it another…

It took a few days and many reads to get the ball rolling, but after 48 hours of stress-mode I came to the realisation that it was going to happen. It was possible! I have the awesome Medium community to thank for that. So to my 100 followers, thank you for pressing that follow button and helping me achieve my goal. I’ve really enjoyed reading your articles the past few days. It’s been really fun reading about different topics, further away from why I originally joined Medium. Whether you’re here to stay or not, thank you!
